Daisy granny square pillow

Crochet cushion free pattern
I’ve finished this pillow a few days ago, but I had some kind of technical difficulties to post it, because the battery charger for my camera was broken, so I couldn’t take the photographs.
Daisy crochet pillow free pattern
As I mentioned in my previous post, tutorial for this granny square you can find here on the lovely and very colorful Color ‘n cream blog, which I really like. Thanks Jenn!
This time I used two different yarns. For the white flowers I used cotton – acrylic mixture, which is mat, soft and fluffy, and I like how the flowers turned out. For the background I used 100% cotton yarn. I so love that texture of the flowers.
Crochet christmas balls
My little colorful Christmas balls 🙂 I enjoyed making them.

Think I’ll make some more of these…

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments!

Jenn – I'm so glad that you like it! Thanks again for your beautiful pattern! 🙂

Niki – I didn't write the pattern, I just added round as I went, but looking at them now, I think that 1. row I made 12 dc in magic ring, 2. row 2 dc cluster + ch 1 between each double crochet cluster stitch, 3. row 3 dc cluster + ch2 between each double cluster, 4. row is the same as the third, I then joined 2 parts together, and that's it! But, it all depends of the size of the ball and of the yarn you use. Hope this would be useful…

Is the pillow cover removable? If so, what did you attach? Zip, velcro?

Sukritha Collections – Yes, it's removable. I attached zip on the other side of the pillow, it looks the same as the pillow in my previous post.

Wonderful pillow, do you have a tutorial for joining the squares? I know how to do the slip stitch but I am struggling to get the ridge look, I must be doing it wrong. I have checked over the internet to try and find a good tutorial for this but no joy…… please help! Lol…..

Hi there. Thanks for showing this beautiful pillow you made, I love it. I wanted to ask do you remember how much yarn you used so I have an idea of how much to buy? As this will be my first time making a cushion. I'd like to do it like yours so same colour yarns, so if you remember how much yarn of each colour will I need approximately? I checked out the original pattern, out of interest which size hook did you use for yours? Thank you so much.

PS> saw a recent update saying you were doing a tutorial on how to do the backing of these pillows, thank you as its just what I need. I'm hoping to make this for my friends birthday on the 19th of September 🙂 do you think it will be released by then? Thank you x

Sorry me again, was looking at the pattern today and I just wanted to double check it's the pattern you linked too? I was looking at her blog and saw this one which looks more like the one from your cushion: http://colorncream.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/flower-square-tutorial-vi.html I wanted to ask as they use different weight yarn I think. I want to start making one as a gift so if you could reply ASAP I'd be super grateful as I need to hurry and buy my supplies. Thanks for reading x

      hi Marta,
Thank you! For the petals, I used white Alize cotton gold yarn, and for the background I used “Tango” from St. George (manufacturer from Serbia).
