Primavera flowers pillow

07/03/2014 by Dada Filed Under: Crochet pillows 40 Comments

primavera-flower-pillow-free-patternI made this pillow for my mother in low, and called it “Primavera flowers pillow”, because I can’t wait for spring to come. I don’t like winter. I don’t like its cold, dark, gloomy, short days. I don’t like rain nor snow. But I like everything about spring. I love the Italian word for spring: Primavera. It sounds so promising… Just like spring…

I recently designed this simple flower granny square. Although I love colors (very much) think it looks nice even whole–colored, because that highlights its texture.
I’m planning to make tutorial as soon as I finish Primavera flower baby blanket which I’ve started on Tuesday.

I know you’d like to see the other side of the pillow, so here it is.

Pillows! 🙂 Made by hand. Made with love. Made for loved ones. Of course, they must be beautiful.

For this pillow I used 100% cotton yarn “Tango” (beige, yellow, pink and peach) and “Golf” – shown in the picture (green, light blue and purple), both from St. George. 125m/50g, and 3.5 mm hook.

Lovely, and the back is as pretty as the front. Can't wait for the tutorial. Wish I could get that Tango in the U.S.

Primavera is also the Spanish word for spring. Unlike you, I don't like it because it is the allergy season for me. However I love your crocheted spring! I could live with that kind of spring in my house the whole year around. 🙂

I love the look of crochet done with cotton wool! Gorgeous cushions!

I think you would like our Queensland winters…they are barely a winter at all as we can get away with wearing T-shirts or light sweaters throughout. The evenings and mornings are cold but the days are actually quite pleasant. 🙂

Ne, ne radim ništa po porudžbini, volim da radim uvek nešto novo, a sada sam se koncentisala na paterne, mislim da ću ići u tom pravcu.

    Puno pozdrava,

I found you through Pinterest. Your work is gorgeous, and you have such great color sense. I think I've pinned all your projects!

Would you mind doing a tutorial on how you sew together the pillow with the fabric backing?

I too would be interested to know how to do this also. I'd love to try making this for my mum one day and I've never done anything like this. I know you posted the granny square tutorial but like the lady above I'd love to know how you made the pillow. Thank you.

Sorry to disappoint you, I don’t have that pillow anymore, so I can’t measure it. The size of the finished pillow also depends on the yarn you use.
