I’ve finished this pillow a few days ago, but I had some kind of technical difficulties to post it, because the battery charger for my camera was broken, so I couldn’t take the photographs.
As I mentioned in my previous post, tutorial for this granny square you can find here on the lovely and very colorful Color ‘n cream blog, which I really like. Thanks Jenn!
This time I used two different yarns. For the white flowers I used cotton – acrylic mixture, which is mat, soft and fluffy, and I like how the flowers turned out. For the background I used 100% cotton yarn. I so love that texture of the flowers.
My little colorful Christmas balls 🙂 I enjoyed making them.
Think I’ll make some more of these…
Rosie Posie Pillow No. 2
I’ve finished my second Rosie Posie Granny Square Pillow, and I must admit that I really like how it turned out!
Links to the free tutorials for these granny squares and for this gorgeous Pom Pom Edge you can find in my previous post.
I didn’t crochet the other side of the pillow, so this is how it looks. I think that crocheting both sides of the pillow is a waste of time, which I would rather spend crocheting another project…
And the project I’m currently working on, is another pillow. This time, I found this cute Daisy granny square free tutorial on the Color ‘n Cream blog, which is one of my favorite crochet blogs, so I visit it often, because there is always something new and colorful there. And I love colors. Very much.
I just made one little change. In the beginning I did double crochets in the magic ring instead of single crochets. That way I made the flower center a bit larger.
I chose bright colors for this pillow, so it will be quite colorful and happy.
As you can see, I added the famous Pom Pom Edge again. I just couldn’t resist. Remember, I fell in love with that border…
Next time, I will show you the finished pillow and probably something relating to Christmas decoration. It’s time to think about Christmas.
Rosie Posie Grannie Square pillow No. 2
In my last post I promised to show you another Rosie Posie Grannie Square pillow, but I didn’t like how it turned out, so I started another one. After I made 6 granny squares, I realized that I didn’t have enough beige yarn. I went to my favorite yarn shop, but they didn’t have that color, so I started the famous Rosie Posie Grannie Square pillow for the third time… this time I replaced the beige yarn with white…
As I posted earlier, the pattern for these granny squares I found on the lovely Cherry Heart blog, here.
I finished the front of the pillow. As you can see, I added the beautiful Pom Pom edge, and I think that white color highlights other colors even better than beige.
I love how the third version turned out. Now, I only have to assemble the pillow, and to wait till Sunday to give it away to my dear young friend. She’s fourteen and she likes my work 🙂
The pattern for the Pom Pom Edge which I fell in love with, you can find here on the lovely blog called Once Upon a Pink Moon. Big, big thanks to Robin for this awesome free tutorial!
